University of Perpetual Help System DALTA kicked off its 2023 V-League Collegiate Challenge on a high note, sweeping San Sebastian College-Recoletos in straight sets, 25-18, 25-19, 25-19, on Friday at the Paco Arena in Manila.
Reigning NCAA MVP Mary Rose Dapol contributed 16 points during the hour-long battle, with 14 from attacks and two from service aces, most of which were crucial points.
The Lady Altas' head coach expressed satisfaction with the victory in this tournament organized by Sports Vision and supported by Bola.TV, Beyond Active Wear, ASICS, and Mikasa. He said, "It's good because what I've been telling them, they were able to adapt. I can see the improvements."
Charmaine Ocado also chipped in with 11 points throughout the match for Perpetual, while Winnie Bedaña added seven points in the middle.
The Lady Stags managed to stay competitive with Kat Santos and Tina Marasigan both tallying nine points, and former University of the East setter Von Dimaculangan making her debut for San Sebastian.
