Big game? Turn to Faith Nisperos and she will deliver.
That she did in Game One of the 2022 V-League Women's Collegiate Challenge on Sunday at the Paco Arena, leading Ateneo de Manila University with 35 huge points.
More importantly, the Blue Eagles are a win away from the championship after surviving Adamson University in the match that lasted 2 hours and 25 minutes, 20-25, 25-21, 25-22, 24-26, 18-16.
"Being in the championship is really different eh. It shows na labanan na ng magagaling and it's a test of character kung sino yung may mas gusto manalo, may mas gustong mapatunayan sa sarili namin," said Nisperos.
Her 35-point explosion matched her career-high she made back in 2019 during the Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference.
And it was another high-stakes match, playing against College of St. Benilde in the battle for third.
Of the 35, eight she hammered during the pivotal fifth set that allowed Ateneo to establish a huge lead and reach match point first, 14-9, before the Lady Falcons stormed back.
"Leadership. I wanna lead by example," said the 2019 PVL Collegiate Conference 2nd Best Outside Hitter.
"Yun ang gusto kong ipakita especially pag dikdikan, gusto ko ako yung pupuntahan."
The Blue Eagles can clinch the crown on Wednesday, 5 pm.
