De La Salle University launched its campaign in the 2023 V-League Collegiate Challenge with a remarkable comeback victory over University of Santo Tomas, prevailing 26-28, 25-18, 28-26, 25-21 on Friday at the Paco Arena in Manila.
Uriel Mendoza, a highly anticipated recruit, emerged from the bench and delivered three consecutive kills that ultimately sealed the match in favor of the Green Spikers.

Captain JM Ronquillo guided De La Salle to this significant triumph with a remarkable 27 points, achieved through 23 attacks and four blocks.
Middle blocker JJ Rodriguez, coming off the bench, provided a burst of energy with 12 points.
Rainier Flor led UST with 13 points, while GBoy De Vega contributed 10 points despite having limited playing time.
UAAP Season 85 MVP Josh Ybañez participated in just two sets and concluded with seven points.
