Louie Romero said that Adamson University will work twice as hard heading into their finals match-up with Ateneo de Manila University in the 2022 V-League Women’s Collegiate Challenge.
Romero led the Lady Falcons to a four-set triumph over College of St. Benilde, 21-25, 25-17, 25-21, 25-16, in the semifinals at the Paco Arena last Sunday. She finished with 15 excellent sets in the victory.
“Paghahandaan talaga namin yung Ateneo. Yun lang muna, pero sana step by step sana makuha namin yung championship,” said Romero, who won the 2019 PVL Finals MVP award after steering Adamson to the Collegiate Conference title.
“Expect nila na magtatrabaho talaga kami. Malalim yung bench namin ngayon, kahit sinong i-pasok pwedeng mag-contribute sa team namin,” she added.
The 22-year-old playmaker said that the team will focus on working on their attitude inside the court as they try to claim the V-League title.
“More on mental kasi doon kami nagkukulang ngayon saka attitude sa court,” she said.
The best-of-three finals clash against Ateneo de Manila University will be on November 27, Sunday at 1:00 PM.
