Noel Kampton has been nothing short of elated when he was able to play earlier in the year in UAAP Season 84 Beach Volleyball.
And now, he was doubly happy to be back at the taraflex, playing volleyball after nearly three years. Though, it was a realignment of his skills all over again.
"Sa ngayon nag-aadjust pa ko ng konti kasi nung last kong laro sa beach volley. Ngayon, indoor, paunti-unti kung nakukuha yung momentum ko sa paglalaro ulit ng indoor. Pero ngayon sobrang saya, ito talaga yung pinaghandaan ko since beginning ng term sa La Salle. Ito talaga yung gusto ko," the outside spiker said.
Kampton, nonetheless, had to do double duty once more as will be back in action in the sands for the beach volleyball tournament this UAAP season next month.
The UAAP 84 Men's Beach Volley Rookie of the Year admitted, "Ito, ang factor naman ngayon is ngayong nag-i-indoor ako, tapos sumusulpot kami ng trainings beach volley, parang nawala yung laro ko sa beach volley ngayon."
"As in yung hindi na ko makagalaw sa buhangin, pero sige OK lang. Ang priority ko talaga is ito munang V-League. Pagkatapos ng V-League, didiretso na ko ng training sa sands."
Despite such adversity, the prolific Green Spiker keeps doing what he does because of one single motivation.
"I just want to win," he said.
"I don't want to lose. Masama man yung sabihin na hindi tumatanggap ng pagkatalo, pero ako yung mentality ko is 'I want to win and to win na hangga't kaya ko, gusto kong manalo.'"
