The Philippine Men's National Volleyball Team will face formidable opponents to open the 2023 Asian Men's Volleyball Challenge Cup.
The Philippines is slotted in Pool D along with Mongolia and Macau.
The Filipinos will face Macau on Sunday followed by Mongolia on Monday.
All games will have their first serve at 10:00 a.m.
The top two teams will advance to the Final 12.
Mongolia drew first blood in the pool, defeating Macau, 25-14, 25-20, 25-19.
Amateur standouts Noel Kampton of De La Salle University and Lloyd Josafat of University of the East are part of the team.
Ateneo assistant coach Vince Mangulabnan is also part of the squad.
Completing the team are Cignal's Marck Espejo, Jau Umandal, Manuel Sumanguid, and Chu Njigha; Cotabato's Madz Gampong, Rex Intal, Kim Dayandante, Steven Rotter, and Vince Lorenzo; La Salle's Noel Kampton; and Ryan Ka.
