St. Benilde dispatched San Sebastian College-Recoletos, 25-15, 25-20, 25-17, to advance to the semis of the 2022 V-League Collegiate Challenge on Wednesday at Paco Arena.
The Lady Blazers, who extended their win run to four, will take on either the Adamson Lady Falcons or the UST side in the next round.
“Well, good game naman kami kasi na-execute namin yung mga plays namin tapos medyo consistent kami sa atake at receive, sa lahat bale," said Benilde head coach Jay Chua.
“Pero sa semifinals gusto pa naming makita yung aggressiveness pa sa atake kasi since kung sino ‘man makalaban namin, UST naman or Adamson, kailangan maging aggresive kami sa atake. Saka dapat yung mindset namin kailangan matibay talaga,” he added.
Wielyn Estoque led the NCAA champs with 12 points on eight attacks and four service aces while Clydel Catarig tossed in 10 markers on 10 attacks.
Kristine Dionisio scored 12 points for the Lady Stags, who also drew six points apiece from Katherine Santos and Christina Marasigan.
