Seven collegiate spikers called up for Men's NT

Seven collegiate players were called up to serve the country for the upcoming 32nd Southeast Asian Games in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.


 


Five of the seven amateur players came from defending V-League Collegiate Conference champion National University.


 


Tournament MVP Mike Buddin leads the squad and will be joined by fellow Bulldogs Jann Sumagui, Joseph Bello, Leo Ordiales, and Rwenzmel Taguibolos.


 


Also called up for the 19-man pool are La Salle’s Noel Kampton and University of Santo Tomas' Jayrack Dela Noche.


 


Spikers' Turf stars Marck Espejo, JP Bugaoan, Manuel Sumanguid III, Vince Mangulabnan, and Chumason Njigha of Cignal; Imus' Kim Malabunga and Ish Polvorosa; Iloilo's Jade Disquitado; and Cotabato's Jau Umandal, Kim Dayandante, and Vince Lorenzo also compose the pool.


 


Completing the squad is former Spikers' Turf MVP Bryan Bagunas, who is currently playing for Win Streak in Taiwan.


 


Odjie Mamon will serve as the head coach of the squad.


 


The team is coming off a fifth-place finish in the last edition of the tournament.
